The Woman beside

I woke up one morning to the smell of tea
A gentle hand awakening me
A voice crying my name comes out aloud
5 minutes mom i reply in a shout

Somehow the world revolved and I sit ready
Eating breakfast when i get hit by a cherry
Glaring at the figure sitting opposite to me
my sister bared her nails awaiting the melee

As i step out to work, I frown in tension
Work, work , work when do i get my pension
Five minutes in my phone begins to sing
What sweet pleasure indeed that true love brings

Amongst the shadowy play of lights in the day
There creeps in this thought of simple delight
A special day for the ones who completes me
Mom, sis and my dear little pixie

For all the white hair
you have granted me
The world lies incomplete
without the sight of thee
